With many antiques shops, great little restaurant, specialties shops that can only be found a long the Jersey Shore. Tuckerton was founded in 1901 and was named after Edenezar Tucker. The borough as of the 2010 Census with about 3400 people. Tuckerton is surround by Little Egg Harbor, another growing town. They both share the same zip code from the Post Office 08087.

The Tuckerton Seaport is a working maritime museum and cool village too. We invite you to come visit this year. Many shipped in Tuckerton back in the day. With a large exporting business of lumber. Did you also know that there was a salt works company in Tuckerton as well. We have great history to our town, if we just take the time to explored it.  We had a cool stage line that was started back in 1816 but Isaac Jenkins. It traveled from Tuckerton to Philadelphia once a week and it took two day to one direction. Amazing!

The shore as of today brought many people to Tuckerton, but most people took the train to get the beach. You can image people took a short ferry ride over to Long Beach Island too. Great History!
